The Musical Minds Project

Musical Minds: Promoting a Positive Mindset.

At Future Steps we understand the positive impacts music can have on a person’s wellbeing; whether it’s learning a new skill, resparking your passion for music, or simply enjoying a chat while practising your new hobby, we believe everyone can benefit from our projects.

What is the Musical Minds Project?

At Future Steps we’re delighted to offer a free-of-charge 15 week course of guitar lessons thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund. (Subject to Availability)

Are lessons taught as a group or one-to-one?

Lessons are one-on-one and will take place in our purpose built teaching rooms with friendly, highly experienced tutors who have a passion for all things music. Each session is one hour in length.

What happens in each session?

After putting the kettle on for a brew, we’ll discuss what genres of music you’re interested in and we’ll tailor each session to your ability; whether you are a complete beginner or have had previous experience.
We’ll start by teaching simple riffs/melodies and basic chords to some of your favourite songs to get you started on your musical journey with us.

Our aim will be to shape your sessions around your personal goals, and most importantly it’s about making sure you have fun along the way!

Do I Need My Own Instrument?

We have all the equipment in house so all you need to bring is yourself.

How much do the sessions cost?

We’re delighted to say this project is free thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund.

Where are you based?

McGann House, Chesham Rd, Barnsley, S70 2NT

126 Thornes Lane, Wakefield, WF2 7RB
